Apology

I know you are all eager to read the next episode of this fascinating tale of heroic deeds and epic adventure, and that I'm two days behind with publishing the daily blog.  I apologise for this avid reader, but Day 6 - Shap to Kirkby Stephen, will be posted later today and hopefully Day 7 - Kirkby Stephen to Keld (Halfway there!).

We have two means of connecting to the internet, and so far we've been able to use at least one of them.  For the past two days neither has been available so nothing got posted.  Don't forget we're in the wilds of North Yorkshire, on the wrong side of the Pennines!

There's no Vodaphone signal available in Reeth nor a wi-fi connection at the hotel, but there's a bookshop across the square and I've managed to hack into their wi-fi broadband router.  Serves'em right for not getting it encrypted!

Looking Forward to seeing/reading the update on your journey. It certainly helps us to feel that we are in some small way sharing in your journey, without the aching feet and blisters!
Talking of feet, how are yours Patrick, or is this something we've not to talk about? It looks as if the weather is set to be good for the rest of your challenge.
Enjoy your well earned rest tomorrow - lets hope the England team can rise to their challenge the way you fellas have.
Our thoughts and love are with you each day as we think about you often. xxx
