Bags packed and ready to go!

With less than 24 hours to go before we all meet up in the Lakes, the bags are packed ready for picking up after work tomorrow and heading North. Our intention is an early start on Friday morning before driving the one and a half hours up to our starting point at St Bees. In keeping with Wainright tradition, we'll dip our boots into the Irish Sea before collecting a pebble to take on our cross country journey. Then a walk over the clifftops , through to Cleator followed by a 'relentless climb' up Dent Fell 'reached by either a sudden access of energy and determination or on hands and knees'. Finally a walk into Ennerdale Bridge to end the first day of 14miles (22kms) and a 2,250 feet climb (685m) for a well deserved bite to eat and drink. Who knows, we may also be celebrating an England win against Algeria?
